Abstract : A novel technique derived from the guaranteed cost control method of Chang and Peng is developed for the closed-loop control of systems with varying parameters. This technique allows the definition of guaranteed performance and stability regions around reference points. A heuristic approach is then available for the definition of a set of reference points which conveniently cover the whole operations domain.
