This article covers the main stages of the CREED project. In the first part we will discuss the cognitive aspects of the controllers' work and, more precisely, the conflict detection process. Once the problem is clearly stated, in the second part we will give details of the set of experiments used to gather the controllers' judgements. The results will be presented and discussed in the third part, emphasising the statistical methods used for the graphic analysis. The fourth and last part will be devoted to the presentation of the logistical methods constructed and the information obtained from them. Finally, the conclusion will unveil the potential uses and possible developments of the CREED project.
