Slot planar antenna on metallic support with large bandwidth

In this paper, we design a slot planar antenna with a low profile above a metallic support using the tools of periodic structures. A parametric study on its bandwidth performances is performed. Good results are obtained in terms of bandwidth (7%) and radiation pattern. A good trade-off between low profile, lateral size and bandwidth is found.
