Method and apparatus for managing vertices in an image space

User implementations for the selection of vertices in an image space are provided where the coincidence between a container defined in the image space and other vertices is determined, and vertices falling within the container are considered to have been selected. In certain variants, multiple containers may be provided, and selections determined on the basis of a Boolean function considering vertices falling within one container, the other, or both. Variants consider the movement of the container through space, with coincidence between a container defined in the image space and other vertices is determined throughout the movement being considered to have been selected.
